Shopping is a big attraction in Orlando. Here are some of our tips for both budget outlet and designer Orlando shopping. All those suggested are in easy reach of the I-4.
Good
for cheap jeans, trainers, clothing and sportswear. A bit of a chore and can
be a car hopping exercise to travel between shops. Exit junction 75 of the
I-4.
Good for department store type shopping. Exit junction 74 of the I-4,
turn right onto Sand Lake Road and continue until you see the mall on the
right.
Now
your talking... One of the newest shopping malls in Orlando, containing many
designer shops including Burberry, Gucci, Chanel, Coach, Banana Republic and
many more. Why not try the Cheesecake Factory for every kind of cheesecake
imaginable. Or an Italian meal at the Brio Millenia. Exit junction 78 of the
I4.
Very
good designer outlet shops, including Timberland, Nike sports outlets, Levi's,
Tommy and many more. Exit junction 68 of the I-4, continue straight across
crossroads and follow the road until you see the mall on the right.
Publix - about two miles North of the villa on the Highway 27 (towards Highway 192) and also at Champions Gate Bld.
Walmart - about ten miles south of the villa on the Highway 27 (away from the Highway 192).
Eating out is a very big part of any Orlando Vacation and the mainstay of your evening entertainment. Here are some tips and our favourites.
Bahama Breeze is our favourite and combines a mix of excellent food, good service and a Caribbean feel including a live steel band.
Carrabba's has a traditional Italian feel, good quality food and reputation, very popular.
Celebration is one of the best kept secrets in Orlando (Until now). You can leave your car and stroll, which is a rare treat in Orlando. You can choose from a number of lovely restaurants, or simply relax in a rocking chair on the waterfront promenade and watch the world go by.
Sometimes after a hectic day in the theme parks you simply want to find a good meal close to the villa. Here are some of those close by.
Chain restaurant opened new in spring 07, just a few minutes from the villa on the Highway 27 near Publix. Similar to TGI Friday's, take a look at Applebee's menu for our local restaurant.
Beef O'Brady's is a restaurant and sports bar Chain, just minutes from the villa on the Highway 27 near Walgreens. Take a look at for our local restaurant.
Chain restaurant with American traditional values, pioneering days theme (No alcohol/liquor). New restaurant opened summer 04, just a few minutes from the villa South on the Highway 27

Manny's Chop House, is a very traditional American Steak house has good food generous portions and friendly service. From the villa is a little way down the highway 27 on the right hand side, when you reach Haines City. Is very popular so call ahead to reserve your place in the queue.
Themed adjoining crazy golf, has mountain waterfalls and a model train travelling through the restaurant, to keep the children amused. On the 192 on the left hand side, you can't miss it.
